Barbara Miller

February 8, 1941 – December 12, 2025

Barbara Ann Miller, 84, of Jacksonville, left this earthly realm on December 12, 2025 to be reunited with her beloved husband, Chuck and her two baby boys who did not survive birth. They would have three more children who all will mourn her loss every day but are so grateful to have had her love and guidance for 84 years.

Barbara had 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, all of which she whole-heartedly adored. In reality, however, she was everyone’s mom and grandma. Any time anyone brought a friend over to meet her, they were instant family. She loved being called grandma by everyone. Her legacy of love and warmth will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. That spirit will live on in all of us left behind.

Survivors are her children - Joel Miller of Jacksonville, FL; Sabrina Hunt (Skip) of Austin, TX; Karisma Lester of Jacksonville, FL; honorary daughters Debbie Gabbard of Jacksonville, FL and Brenda Kubala of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren - Melissa Miller (Jason) and family of Middleburg, FL; Karie (Sean) Shevlin and family of Middleburg, FL; Zachary Miller of Hampton, VA; Shelby Zastrow (Jonathan) and family of NC; Miles Johnson (Lauren) of Ohio; and Tobias Lester (Samantha) of Jacksonville, FL. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Balliot of PA and numerous nieces and nephews across the United States who all lovingly referred to her as Aunt Barb.

Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Miller; her parents, Thornton and Delores Watts; grandsons Jonathan Miller and Andrew Miller; and granddaughter Miranda Gabbard. We can only imagine the welcome party that was had!

We will never be able to see a flamingo and not think of her. We will hear her laugh every time we laugh. She was simply the best human and truly an inspiration to all that knew her.

Her wish was to be cremated. In her words, “it was my last chance to have a smoking hot body“.

She did not want a service. A Celebration of Life will be held at her home, on what would be her 85th birthday, February 8th, 2026. Additional details to be provided at a later date.
