Arthur Lee Hon, age 87, passed away on March 27, 2026, in Orange Park, Florida, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 22, 1938, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Elmer Hon Jr. and Dorothy Stinson.

Arthur was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rafaela Baena González Hon, whom he cherished deeply.

He is survived by his sons, Luis Albert Hon (Charlene) and David Hon Sr. (Darlene); his grandchildren, David Hon Jr. (Christina) and Rachel Houghton (William); and his great-grandchildren, Logan Hon, Owen Hon, Melanie Houghton, and Wesley Houghton. His family was his greatest pride and joy, and he treasured every moment spent with them.

Arthur honorably served in the United States Navy for over 30 years, retiring as an Aviation Machinist’s Mate Senior Chief Petty Officer. His dedication, discipline, and commitment to service earned him numerous awards and the respect of all who served alongside him. He carried that same devotion into his role as a husband, father, and grandfather, always placing his family at the center of his life.

Arthur will be remembered for his strength, loyalty, and unwavering love for those around him. His legacy lives on through the family he built and the lives he touched.

Arthur will be laid to rest at Jacksonville National Cemetery in Jacksonville, Florida, on April 1, 2026, with full military honors.
