Arlene West

January 13, 1935 – March 19, 2026

Arlene passed away March 19, 2026 in Moosehaven Skilled Care at the age of 91.

She was born to Ernest and Emma Kautz on January 13, 1935 in Artas, SD.

Arlene married John West on February 23, 1955. He preceded her in death on

November 28, 2011. They had three daughters Kathy, Peggy and Nancy. Nancy preceded her in death in 2020.

She worked as a salesclerk at a photography studio.

Arlene joined the Loyal Order of the Moose, Mobridge, SD #929 on October 11, 1977. She received her Academy of Friendship degree on April 26, 1981, her College of Regents degree on May 23, 1986 and her Star Recorder degree on May 29, 1988. She was a member of the 25 Club and sponsored 100 members in her lifetime.

Arlene came to Moosehaven on March 27, 2019.

She will be laid to rest in Mobridge. SD.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Bloedel of Tabor, IA and Peggy Greene of Malbern, IA.
