Amanda Johns, age 44, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026. She was born on November 14, 1981, and throughout her life, she brought warmth, laughter, and a deep sense of belonging to everyone she met.

Amanda had a special gift: she made people feel like family, even when they weren’t related. Her heart was open, her love was genuine, and her presence was comforting to so many. She was the kind of person who showed up, stood by you, and made life feel a little lighter just by being in it.

She dedicated many years to her career, beginning at just 18 years old. Over time, the workplace became much more than a job; it became a place where she built lasting friendships that turned into some of the most meaningful relationships of her life.

Amanda had a true passion for traveling and cherished every opportunity to explore new places. More than anything, she loved spending time with her friends and family, creating memories filled with laughter, love, and connection.

She is survived by her loving husband, Charles Johns; her daughter, Erin Johns; her mother, Dale Taylor; and her father, Leonard Taylor. She also leaves behind many dear friends who will forever hold her close in their hearts.

Amanda was preceded in death by her nephew, Colden Perrie; her sister, Michelle Perrie; her grandmother, Iva Lee Phillips; and her grandfather, Louis Phillips.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in the love Amanda gave and the memories she created with each of us. Her spirit, kindness, and unforgettable presence will live on forever in the lives she touched.

The family will receive friends at 10:00am on Monday, April 6, 2026 at Shiloh Baptist Church and funeral services will begin at 11:00am with Pastor Keith Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery.
