Marilyn Bartley Thacker, 85, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2007. She was born on September 24, 1921 in Pike County, KY to parents, Paris and Bessie Bartley. Mrs. Thacker had been a resident of Green Cove Springs for the past 39 years and was a homemaker and also took in sewing jobs from the community. She was preceded in death by her husband, George P. Thacker and is survived by their 8 children, Edmond Deel, Wanda Cantrell, Walter Thacker, Jimmy Thacker and Donnie Thacker, all of Green Cove Springs, FL, Helen Edmunds of Phenix City, AL, Paul Thacker of Elkhorn City, KY and Nancy Aslan of Jacksonville, FL; many grandchildren and many,many great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Monday, March 12, 2007 at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at Decoy Baptist Church with Reverend Bobby Baker officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
