Edward William “Bill” King passed away July 29, 2010 in the Moosehaven Life Care Center at the age of 86. He was born to Elliot and Sallie King on October 18, 1923 in Goldsboro, NC. Bill joined the Navy on April 9, 1943, a World War II Veteran. Bill married Mary Elizabeth “Betsy” York on August 21, 1943 in Greensboro, NC. They had five children Tommy, Patricia, Michele, Michael, and Billy. Bill became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose on January 1, 1986 when he joined High Point, NC Lodge #693. He was also a lifetime member of Tar Hill Moose Legion #158. Memorial Services will be held at a later date. His daughter, Michele King of Carrboro NC, daughter Patricia "Trish” Brown of North Myrtle Beach, SC and son Bill King of Greensboro, NC survive him.
