Howard Michael “Mike” Bunner, 69, of Jacksonville, FL passed away March 26, 2017. Mike was born on December 25, 1947 in Elkins, West Virginia to the late John Howard and Patricia Louise (Dye) Bunner. He came to the area in 1980 from Arlington, VA and was of the Protestant faith.  Mike loved the outdoors, was an avid hunter, gun collector and marksman.  He was a member of the muzzle loading and shooting team at Gateway Rifle and Pistol Club and enjoyed his every Tuesday breakfast at Charlie’s Diner with his friends.  Mike was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He is survived by his daughter, Peggy Vizzari (Michael); brothers, John Bunner (Ann), Dana Bunner and Larry Bunner; sisters, Myla Eckert (Rusty) and Mary Bunner; grandchildren, Ashlyn and Landon Vizzari; numerous nieces, nephews and his buddies who he spent time with at Curry-Thomas Hardware Store.An inurnment service at Jacksonville National Cemetery with military honors will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 1:30pm.
