Katherine M. Garrett, 65, of Middleburg, FL passed away January 7, 2017. She was born in Trenton, MI on January 14, 1951 to the late Paul Delmont and Katherine (Perry) McCoy, was a lifelong resident of the area and of the Catholic faith.  Katherine enjoyed going to Disney World, gardening, arts and crafts and loved her dog, Freya.  Family and friends was the most important thing in her life.  She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.   Katherine is survived by her husband of 30 years, Duane Garrett; son, Sean Bente; daughter, Dawn Bente (Brian McGraw); brother, Kevin McCoy (Patricia); grandchildren, Amber, Hunter, Gunner and Summer Lalande and Skyler Bente and many nieces and nephews.   The family will receive friends from 10:00am - 11:00am on Thursday, January 12, 2017 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am with Dr. Tim McDaniel officiating.  Burial with military honors will be at the Jacksonville National Cemetery at 1:30pm, Thursday, January 12, 2017.
