Margie Ann Thomas, 79, passed away July 22, 2016. Mrs. Thomas was born on December 29, 1936 in Sumter County, Alabama and resided in Florida for 57 years. She was of the Baptist faith. She is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Eugene Thomas. She is survived by a son, Jeff (Lynn) Thomas and daughter, Julie (Tim) McRee; three grandchildren, that were her pride and joy, Matthew and Maegan McRee and Cheyenne Thomas; one sister, Flora “Soapy” (Gary) Givens; three brothers, Melvin (Joan) Carney, Bobby (Debbie) Carney and Richard (Bonnie) Carney; one sister-in-law, June Carney and one step-sister, Eva Dell Seibs. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Monday, July 25, 2016 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, July 26, 2016 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Rev. Charlie Hunt and Rev. Todd Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery.
