Donald “Don” Jackson, 35, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away March 11, 2016. He was born on May 30, 1980 in Chicago, Illinois to parents Calvin Duane Jackson and Alveda Lynn (Ratliff) Arnold. Don has been a resident since 1988 coming from Chicago, IL. He maintained his loyalty to his home town sports teams, the Bears, the Bulls and the Black Hawks. Don loved music concerts of all genres, dancing and video games. He was a very caring, genuine and inspiring man who always had a smile on his face and made people laugh. He took great care of his mother, sister and niece. “Don didn’t have friends, he had extended family.” He is preceded in death by two brothers, Calvin Duane and Steven Jackson. Don is survived by his parents; step-mother, Patty Basik; brothers, Jeff Jackson (Melissa) and Andrew Jackson; sisters, Mandie Arnold and Christina Jackson (Amadeus); nieces, Haidyn and Savannah; nephews, Christian and Logan; aunt, Debbie Short (Mike); uncles, Jay Jackson (Brenda), Ralph Jackson (Virginia) and Squeak Iannino (Cissy) and cousins, Stephanie Jackson, Stacey Newman (Jamey), Shanna Jackson and Sheena Jackson. The family will receive friends in the Broadus-Raines Chapel on Friday, March 18, 2016 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 10:00am in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Dr. Tim McDaniel officiating. Interment will follow at Little Ruth Cemetery.
