Wesley Permenter, Sr., 79, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away March 11, 2016. He was born on January 31, 1937 in Mayday, GA to parents Lewis W. and Lois (Davis) Permenter. Wesley was a lifelong resident with a kind heart and was everyone’s best friend. He always smiled and was extremely giving to those around him. Wesley was also known by his nickname “Papa Smurf” and he loved hunting and fishing. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 51 years, Deanna Darlene Permenter. Wesley is survived by his sons, Wesley, Chris and Randy Permenter; daughters, Sheila Permenter, Lisa Pfoutz and Amanda Moon and numerous loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
