Archie Dawkins, 82, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2009. He was born on February 24, 1927 in Sumterville, FL to parents, Archibald and Viva Dawkins, Sr. He retired from the maintenance department of King Edward Cigar Company after 13 years and was a member of Park Lane Baptist Church. He loved yard work and lawn ceramics and will be dearly missed by his loving family and many friends. He is survived by his brother, Willie Dawkins; nephew, Lee Dawkins; niece, Joanne and great-nephew, Cory. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am Friday, May 1, 2009 at Restlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Richard Carney officiating.
