Grace M. Berania, 65, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away January 25, 2016. She was born on October 28, 1950 in Providence, RI to parents Harry and Doris (Chase) Oxx. Mrs. Berania was a homemaker and had lived in the local area since August of 1987, moving here from Washington, D.C. She was of a Christian faith and will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends. Survivors include her husband, Philippe Berania; sons, Philippe Gee Berania (Anita) of Jacksonville Beach, FL and Bernard Jay Berania of Middleburg, FL; sisters, Victoria Oxx of Rhode Island, Doris Oxx of Rhode Island, Evelyn Oxx of Rhode Island, Louise Oxx of Rhode Island, Hope Oxx of Rhode Island, Beatrice Oxx of New Jersey, Mildred Oxx of Rhode Island and Rosemary Oxx of Kentucky; brothers, William Oxx, Thomas Oxx, Scott Oxx and Steven Oxx, all of Rhode Island and grandchildren, Kristin Berania, Brandon Berania, Cohen Berania, Devon Berania and Ellisa Berania. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am Friday, January 29, 2016 at First Coast Baptist Church, 7587 Blanding Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32244 with Pastor Richard Edwards officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Jacksonville National Cemetery.
