Richard Shedd, 90, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away January 7, 2016. He was born on March 5, 1925 in Green Cove Springs, FL to parents John and Elsie (Altman) Shedd. Mr. Shedd was a World War II Veteran, serving his country in the United States Navy. He worked as a tool and die machinist and was a lifelong resident of Green Cove Springs. He was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by his parents; by his wife, Barbara “Bobbie” Shedd and sons, Ray, Raymond and Steve Shedd. Survivors include his son, Lloyd Shedd; daughters, Linda Knowles and Pamela Gerald; sisters, June Shedd and Mildred Robinson; 13 grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm Monday, January 11, 2016 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel followed by a graveside service at 1:30 pm at Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery. Dr. Tim McDaniel will officiate and military honors will be presented at the graveside.
