Marianne K. Edwards (October 24, 1942 – December 30, 2015) Marianne K. Edwards, 73 of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2015. She was born Oct. 24, 1942, in Wilkes-Barre, PA, the daughter of the late John and Helen (Roan) Kane. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Thomas, and daughter Lisa Ray. She was a graduate of Kingston High School and a longtime resident of Kingston, PA. This was followed by many years in Hurst, TX and the last 13 years in Green Cove Springs, FL. She loved living in a warm climate where freezing temperatures are measured in minutes rather than months. Marianne was a devoted mother who raised two generations of children, four children of her own and three grandchildren after the passing of her daughter at a young age. This was her life’s mission and she stayed on the job until the very end. She was a member of St. Catherine’s Catholic in Orange Park, FL. She was a long time member of the handicrafts group and cherished the deep friendships made within this close knit circle. Her family is very thankful for their support through her illness. Marianne is survived by her sons; Thomas of Tarpon Springs, FL, Steven and wife Cindy of Fort Mill, SC, Marc and wife Ami of Fort Worth, TX. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Ryan, Matthew, Sarah, Samuel, Christopher, Brett, Michael and Tristen. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Monday, January 4, 2016 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church with Fr. Ignatius Plathanam as celebrant.
