Hermon “Catfish” Clark, long-time resident and land owner of Green Cove Springs, passed away Tuesday morning, December 15, 2015 from a long-term illness. He was a past Chairman of the Board of Deacons of Hickory Grove Baptist Church and former Vice President of Florida State Poet’s Association. Hermon is preceded in death by his son, John R. Clark; infant son, Hermon Jr.; brothers, James and Tommy Clark; and his ex-wife, Carol. He is survived by his wife, Anne; ex-wife, Pat Brown; sister, Frances Kelley; sons, David and Troy; daughters, Linda, Amy and Tina; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; other extended family; two puppies and four kitties; and many friends and associates. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, December 21, 2015 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Russell Franklin and Rev. Louie Doan officiating.
