Robert “Bob” Whittington, 69, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away December 8, 2015. He was born on October 7, 1946 in Valdosta, GA to parents, Emmett and Edna (Watson) Whittington. Mr. Whittington was a Vietnam War Veteran, serving his country in the United States Coast Guard. He was a parts manager for Volvo and enjoyed fishing in his free time. He dearly loved his children and grandchildren and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his wife, Mary Alice Whittington. Survivors include his children, Sean Whittington (Jessica) of Danville, KY, Shanna Whittington (Will Latham) of Keystone Heights, FL and Whitney Stogner (Paul) of Franklinton, LA; 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, December 14, 2015 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Dr. Tim McDaniel officiating.
