James Lamar Franklin, 52, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away May 30, 2012. He was born in Perry, FL on October 14, 1959. He loved his family dearly and loved fishing and boating. He was a real people person whose favorite hobby was talking to anyone and everyone. Mr. Franklin was predeceased by his brother, Donald Franklin. Survivors include his wife, Angela; mother and step-father, Verna and Kenneth Young; son, Austin Franklin; daughter, Brandy (John) Schichtel; brother, Michael Franklin; sister, Brenda Short, and the “apple of his eye” and granddaughter, Kaylee. A memorial service will be held in the Broadus-Raines Chapel at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2012.
