Barbara Marie Rowell, 65, of Middleburg, FL, passed away March 25, 2012. She was born in Wakefield, MA on May 15, 1946 to Daniel and Mary MacLeod. She had moved to Clay County in 1984 from Norfolk, VA was a catholic. She had been very active in the Girl Scouts during the late 80’s and early 90’s. Barbara was a Relocation Specialist with Watson Realty prior to her illness. She loved knitting and taking weekend trips with her family. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Roger Rowell of Middleburg; daughter, Beth Rowell Walt (husband, Steven) of Middleburg; grandchildren, Shane Matthew Sutton, and Ashlyn Marie Sutton all of Middleburg, FL; sister, Patty Foley Curley (husband, Charlie) of Wakefield, MA; aunts, Frances Cronin of Delaware and Eleanor Higgins of New Hampshire; and was loved by many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home Thursday, March 29, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
