Mary Jeanette Flowers Brown, 73, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away Monday, July 16, 2012. She was born on September 29, 1938 in Sanford, FL to parents Harry and Annie Flowers. Mrs. Brown was a homemaker and a 1956 graduate of Clay High School. She was proud to be a Blue Devil. Mrs. Brown loved her animals and will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her son, Walter “Larry” Brown and is survived by her husband, Arthur R. Brown; son, Steve Brown (Laura); sister, Carolyn Bland; grandchildren, Rachel Brown, Thomas Brown (Stacey) and Wesley Brown (Brenda) and great-grandchildren, Chase, Morgan, Wyatt and Dylan Brown. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, July 20, 2012 at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, July 21, 2012 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Rev. John Suttle officiating. Interment will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery.
