Ruth Mary Basford Lawley, 96, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2012. She was born on September 10, 1915 in Jacksonville, FL to parents, Max and Maude Lehman. Mrs. Lawley was a homemaker and attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Jacksonville, FL. She loved to cook and entertain her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husbands, Hayes Basford, Sr. and Jack M. Lawley. Survivors include her son, Hayes Basford, Jr. (Norma); grandchildren, Brett (Joyce), Scott and Matt and great-grandchildren, Jace, Brenna and Mason. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Oaklawn Cemetery, 4801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32207 with Fr. Kiran Medipalli officiating.
